Process for the registration of a new institution
In order to successfully register for the use of UniConnect, the IBM Academic Initiative requires registration of the person specified in (2.) for licensing reasons. The registration is carried out automatically with the sending of this form and is successful insofar as the institution specified in (1.) meets the licensing conditions. Appropriate conditions are included in the terms of use and can be viewed there and at https://developer.ibm.com/academic/docs/legal-agreements/software-usage/.

Whether the institution listed under (1.) is already a member of the IBM Academic Initiative can be checked at http://onthehub.com/ibm

I, the person registered under (2.), hereby confirm that I accept and acknowledge the above conditions of use and that the institution specified in (1.) meets the licensing conditions of the IBM Academic Initiative.


3. Invoice Address
The above (2) registered person receives a request to pay a voluntary membership fee at the end of each semester. The membership at the UCT and the associated use of UniConnect is for free, but the UCT relies as a non-profit research project on voluntary contributions of member institutions to fund the operation and development of the platform.

Please enter the domain part of the e-mail addresses used by the staff and / or students of the under (1) named institution to sign in for UniConnect. E.g., this could be @stud.uni-musterstadt.de, @uni-musterstadt.de and / or @staff.uni-musterstadt.de. E-mail addresses of users whose domain is unknown to the UCT or cannot be assigned to an academic institution (e.g. privately used addresses from Google or GMX), will not be unlocked. You can inform us of any further domains to be unlocked.


5. Optional e-mail domains
If applicable, provide us with the business e-mail addresses of representatives from companies that are part of a university research project at your institution so these can be unlocked for UniConnect. Companies may not use UniConnect commercially and individual representatives of these companies will only be unlocked after their registration if they operate under as part of university research projects. You can also ask for the subsequent activation of individual company domains.


6. Nomination of an administrator
An administrator responsible for the UCT in your organization should be nominated as a first contact person. Cases of contact are very rare and the person has no further obligations or responsibilities than being the first point of contact. The administrator may be the same person who was registered under (2), but is not necessarily so. E.g, an administrator can be an employee of the above (2) named person in charge.
